Project Overview
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Project Type: Residential
Scope of Work: Interior
Scope of Work: We painted interior window shutters, baseboards, doors and door casings.
The Why: The previous paint was yellowing, shutters needed repainted to refresh the appearance.
Unique Challenge: Painting the interior window shutters is a unique project that requires additional care and attention to detail. We started with carefully removing each shutter and staging them in an enclosed area in the garage. We taped off each connecting shutter hinge and removed all removable hardware. At that point, we were able to begin our 2 coat spray application. It was extremely important to the client that the shutter opening/closing mechanism was still usable and moving smoothly. We were able to ensure this by moving the shutters between coats and again before re-installing.
Customer Priority: Initially the customer was concerned about the mobility of the shutters after being painted. They were ecstatic with the final outcome. They appreciated the daily walkthroughs and communication from the project manager, as well as the professionalism and cleanliness of the paint crew.
