Scope of Work: Exterior
Scope of Work: This home was red brick and red siding and the customer wanted the full exterior painted white (Alabaster), light trim (Repose Gray) and accent door (Smokey Blue). The brick was not previously painted, and so required the use of masonry primer.
The Why: The exterior was due for a repaint and was experiencing fading on the siding/trim.
Unique Challenge: Painting brick is always more challenging due to the additional attention needed when applying. To create a clean finish, we use a back roll method, which consists of a spray application that is immediately followed by a roller application to help fill any grooves/grout lines. Some of the siding boards were also falling down due to nails falling out, so prior to painting, these boards needed to be nailed back to re-secure these to the home before repainting.
Customer Priority: The customer wanted to transform the exterior with a brand new color scheme that matched their preference.
Products Used: Sherwin Williams SuperPaint Exterior, Sherwin-Willams Loxon Masonry Primer.
Colors Used: SW7604 Smoky Blue, SW7015 Repose Gray, SW7008 Alabaster
Timeline: This project took just over a week, it was about 6 days of work.
